CIRQ À ROMA 2

After the success of Cirq à Roma in 2016, we can't help but eagerly anticipate the new edition at the end of June. Circus duo Bert & Fred are once again putting together an impressive program. Artists from home and abroad will bring acrobatics, comedy, hand-to-hand, rolla-bolla, swinging trapeze, juggling, and more.
Host Kobe van Herwegen guarantees a magical evening. And we mean that literally. As an illusionist, he takes us into a pleasant and surprising twilight zone. For the "pleasantly crazy" part, Stefaan de Winter of Die Verdammte Spielerei, together with Kris Ercken as the DJ, will take the stage. You have been warned. Of course, no Cirq à Roma would be complete without Peter De Bie. He takes care of a gourmet menu full of optical illusions and thorough magic. Don't be surprised if you find yourself not only pampered but also tricked.
CIRQ À ROMA

The Roma continues its tradition of being a circus theater venue. It started with folk games at Truken Van De Foor, then came Circo Roma with surprising circus theater performances and acts. This year, De Roma takes it a step further: they hand over the venue completely to circus and theater taste makers. Let yourself be amazed in a captivating dinner show that immerses you in a universe of flavors, with artists giving their best, with breathtaking and funny moments, and with the beautiful nostalgic hall of De Roma as the backdrop. Bert & Fred, the well-known circus duo that has achieved great success and has numerous awards to their name, curates this first new edition of CIRQ à ROMA. Together with De Roma, they have put together an impressive team of local and international artists who will create a dazzling circus show!

ACAPA @ THEATER OP DE MARKT
2017
Theater op de markt has invited students from the second year of the Hogeschool voor Circuskunsten (College for circus Arts) in Tilburg (ACAPA/FONTYS) to create a performance. Naturally, the tenth circus edition of Theater op de Markt merits something out of the ordinary. That's why this young blood will be managed by localtalent, Bert Loenders and Fredrique Snoeks, also known as Bert&Fred. Bert&Fred graduated from the same school in 2011 and their resume has become quite impressive. With their dangerous intermezzos and inconceivable balance on the Washington trapeze, they have added colour to numerous shows at home and abroad. Their first theater production 8 Years, 5 Months, 4 Weeks, 2 Days is still crowded with fans. Bert&Fred will engage in an investigation with the ACAPA students. Their starting point are the characters and traits of every individual and with this in mind they try to find balance in creating an interactive performance together.

In 1967, the first theater performance at Dommelhof took place. This special anniversary should not go unnoticed. Therefore, Dommelhof enlisted Bert & Fred to put together a wonderful evening full of surprises from artistic friends, music, celebration, and circus.
